Vichara Technologies Hires Damien Weldon to Lead Business Development

RIDGEWOOD, NJ, June 17, 2017: Vichara Technologies, Inc., a leading capital markets technology firm specializing in pre-trade analytics, risk management, stress testing, modeling and regulatory compliance solutions, today announced the expansion of its sales, alliances and marketing team with the appointment of Damien Weldon as managing director, business development.

Damien will be based in Vichara's new San Francisco office.

Weldon joins Vichara from CoreLogic where he was vice president, business development, responsible for developing strategic alliances and partnerships in capital markets. In his new role at Vichara, Damien will focus on strategic sales and marketing initiatives, and also relationship management and co-innovation with Vichara's data and analytics partners.

Damien has more than fifteen years of experience in data management and quantitative analysis. His principal focus has been credit, prepayment and collateral risk solutions for mortgage and real estate investors valuing mortgage-backed securities and analyzing mortgage portfolio performance. Before joining CoreLogic, he developed analytical and risk management solutions for clients in the financial services, telecom and government sectors in the US, Canada, Europe and the Middle East.

Damien graduated from the University of Oxford with a master of science degree in mathematical modeling and numerical analysis, and also holds a bachelor of science in physics and mathematics from the University of Dublin.
