• Senior Cloud Architect – Data Engineering

  Job Description:
  The Cloud Engineer/Architect will be responsible leading a data engineering team in delivering data analytics and data platform projects for Vichara’s client. Candidate will work with Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Accounting, Business Operations and Marketing team along with the rest of the application development team to gather and analyze requirements and deliver solutions utilizing cloud-based data and analytics platform – AWS, Azure or GCP and Hadoop ecosystem including technologies such as Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR. The Candidate will be designing and developing of highly scalable data analytics platforms, distributed systems and automated data integration pipelines with the design, development and support of analytics and applications for the client. Client is a large investment manager with assets under management of approximately $500+ billion as of 2020

  Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field or the equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of hand on experience in data management, of which 3+ years leading data engineering team in delivering data analytics projects
  • Experience in Azure , AWS (Glue, Redshift, Kinesis)
  • Proven experience in SQL, and proficiency in one of the programming languages such as Python/Scala, C#, Java, C++

• Senior Web Application Developer - .NET and Azure

  Job Description:
  The Senior Developer will be responsible for developing web applications using ASP.NET MVC, Azure, Angular.js , react.js and/or other JS frameworks.

  Qualification:

  • 3 years of development experience using ASP.NET , MVC, Entity Framework
  • At least 3 years of Javascript development experience using one or more of BackboneJS/AngularJS/

• Senior Database Developer/ Architect – Fixed Income

  Job Description:
  The Senior Data Architect/Developer will be responsible for database design, data modeling, configuration, and development as well as ETL related work to build a mission critical enterprise risk platform, which supports various portfolio and security risk management needs within Western Asset. The person will implement tasks required for database design & development & optimization, ETL related implementation, and continuing operation of the enterprise risk management system as well as support other databases in risk management team. He/she will also work closely with project lead, system architect, quant/SAS developers, QA engineer, and business analyst throughout project lifecycle under minimum supervision of project manager.

  Qualification:

  • Minimum 8 years hands-on data modeling and database design experience for enterprise applications.
  • Minimum 7 years of intensive database programming experience such as SQL, PL/SQL, and stored procedures.
  • Minimum 3 years data modeling experience in Fixed Income domain and understand data fields for various fixed income products including Structured Product, Options, and Swaps and other derivatives.

  Based in Los Angeles, the AVP/Sr. Program Analyst will be responsible for performing hands on project management and business analysis work to drive implementation of the Black Mountain Order Management System.

  Qualification:

  • At least 5 years of Project and Process Management experience with large scale technology implementations, custom development, and data integrations
  • Direct experience with Charles River IMS or Black Mountain Systems (preferred)

• Senior Workday Lead – Financials and HCM, AVP

  Job Description:

  Based in Los Angeles, the AVP/Sr. Program Analyst will be responsible for performing hands on Workday Functional and Technical Analysis and Integration to drive implementation of the Workday HCM and Financials

  • At least 3 years of experience with Workday Financials and Workday HCM

  Job Description:
  The Application Development Consultant will be responsible for enhancements, maintenance, and support of applications – both internally developed and vendor provided. Candidate will work with Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Accounting, Business Operations, and the rest of the application development team to gather and analyze requirements and assist with the design, development and support of analytics and trading applications for the client. Client is a large investment manager with assets under management of approximately $300+ billion as of 2020 Development Environment: C#, Kafka, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Advent Geneva

  Essential Responsibilities

  • Implementation of applications for portfolio management and risk applications using C#, SSIS, Advanced SQL,
  • Kafka and Power BI
  • Understand and support multiple applications –proprietary, as well as, vendor applications
  • Handle communication with business users on small enhancement items, including clarification of business requirements
  • Design technical specifications for application development tasks

  Qualification:

  • A Java developer with at least 4 year of experience in Java and Spring
  • Strong SQL Skills
  • Financial Service background especially Risk will be a huge plus.

• Senior Quantitative Analyst

  Job Description:
  As a part of the Fixed Income Products Technology team, build and integrate custom prepay, default and other models for Risk Management and Risk Reporting supporting the Credit Risk and Front Office teams. The group focusses on building and integrating models with their valuation systems to evaluate how Agency MBS portfolio and other fixed income security portfolios will perform under changes in interest rates etc. As a Senior Quantitative Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Researching and modeling fixed income securities.
  • Model validation and testing.
  • Responsible for financial modeling, analysis and data collection, as well as the interpretation of market information, statistics, and pricing.

  Qualification:

  • At least 5 years of experience working on interest rate, market risk and other models
  • Very strong econometrics knowledge (time-series, multi-variate statistics)
  • Phd. In Maths, Economics, Physics or similar
  • Experience with MBS data and prepayment modeling would be a definite plus

• Senior Developer – Front Office Technology

  The Senior Developer will be responsible for Design and development of front-to-middle office systems using C#, ASP.NET, WCF, XML etc.

  Qualification:

  • 3 – 7 years of C# .NET development experience in investment banking industry
  • Very strong hands on SQL query writing experience.
  • Knowledge in Sales & Trading (especially Fixed Income)
  • B.Tech. or equivalent education in Computer Science is required.

• Information Security Engineer - Audits

  Job Description:

  The Information Security (InfoSec) Engineer will assist the firm by preparing for and responding to client security assessments and audits. They will also conduct on-site and on-line security assessments of our vendors and other third-parties to ensure these entities follow client security requirements and industry best-practices. The InfoSec Engineer will help to organize, oversee and coordinate other annual testing and assessment projects, including business continuity assessments and penetration testing. Candidates must have hands-on technical expertise with GRC tools, intrusion prevention & detection and direct experience with security audits.

  Qualification:

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Information Assurance, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or a related degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are both preferred certifications.
  • Five (5) years experience with relevant technologies and similar professional setting.
  • Strong client-service orientation and focus with excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
