Praveen Mehrotra heads Vichara’s business and product development for equities and equity derivatives solutions. He brings to Vichara a unique blend of finance, systems and analytical expertise. For the past twenty years, he was a senior member at Greenway Trading LLC as the head of research and technology as well as a portfolio manager for equities and equity derivatives relative value strategies. He has extensive experience in developing quantitative trading systems and strategies from idea generation, model building and simulated trading to actual execution and risk management. Praveen is a former Vice President of Salomon Brothers, where he was involved in proprietary trading strategies, risk management as well as cash and liquidity management. At Salomon, he was an accomplished trader of US equities, futures and options as well as Latin American volatility arbitrage books. Praveen has a BS and an MS in Computer Science and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University.
